Creationism - A Creative Writing Exercise

I recently found this poem in my old school archives, from my creative writing class in college.  I still kind of liked it, so I thought I'd share!

Creationism

A summer sunset
Across the horizon spread
An artist’s palette

Evidence of God’s design

Swaying ocean tides,
With the moon’s gravity rise,
Back and forth at night

Evidence of God’s design

Pictures in the stars
Beyond Venus, Earth, and Mars
Galaxies afar

Evidence of God’s design

A hummingbird’s wings
Beat faster than can be seen
Colors shimmering

Evidence of God’s design

The tall, mighty oak,
Count the rings to tell how old,
Seedling now full grown

Evidence of God’s design

Every human cell
Contains tiny organelles
By their tasks compelled

Evidence of God’s design

One husband and wife,
In submissive love, unite,
Faithful, happy life

Evidence of God’s design
