What's at the Water's Edge?
The simple answer: People who want to learn. The name of this blog was inspired by a passage in the Bible, where it says that “Jesus began to teach by the lake. The crowd that gathered around him was so large that he got into a boat and sat in it out on the lake, while all the people were along the shore at the water's edge (Mark 4:1).” The verbiage struck me while reading this passage one day, and the phrase “water’s edge” has stuck with me ever since. I try to live my life at the water’s edge, eager to learn all I can about God, about life, about love, and about a whole slew of pseudo-hobbies and interests—among them cooking, gardening, astronomy, camping/hiking, sewing, reading. This blog is where I will share the things that I learn through this crazy adventure we call life, for whoever may be interested!
About Me
My name is Dana. I live with my husband our dog, Copernicus (Copper). We have been married since 2007. I am a follower of Jesus, and live each day by the grace of God. I am living with an autoimmune disease called rheumatoid arthritis or rheumatoid disease, which reminds me each day that I need to rely on God’s strength instead of my own. I work in marketing, and have since 2006, when I earned by BBA in marketing and management. I am a nature-lover, and enjoy exploring our beautiful Great Lakes state. I am a “Jane of all trades” (master of none?), interested in more things than I have time for! I love to learn, and look forward to sharing what I learn with you. Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you find something here that interests you, too!
