I'm bringing my mascot, Platy, back for this post. Only, this time, he has a Santa hat! I thought I'd re-work an old Christmas favorite (or, perhaps one of the most hated songs?). Here it goes:
I want a duck-billed platypus for Christmas
Only a duck-billed platypus will doDon't want a doll, no dinky Tinker Toy
I want a duck-billed platypus to play with and enjoy
I want a duck-billed platypus for Christmas
I don't think Santa Claus will mind, do you?
He won't have to use our dirty chimney flue
Just bring him through the front door, that's the easy thing to do
I can see me now on Christmas morning, creeping down the stairs
Oh what joy and what surprise when I open up my eyes
To see a platy hero standing there
[ Lyrics from: http://www.lyricsmode.com/lyrics
I want a duck-billed platypus for Christmas
Only a duck-billed platypus will do
No crocodiles, no hippopotamuses
I only like duck-billed platypuses
And duck-billed platypuses like me too
Mom says the platy would sting and poison me,
But Teacher says a platy is a harmless monotreme
There's lots of room for him in our jacuzzi tub
I'd feed him there and wash him there and give him his back rub
I can see me now on Christmas morning, creeping down the stairs
Oh what joy and what surprise when I open up my eyes
To see a platy hero standing there
I want a duck-billed platypus for Christmas
Only a duck-billed platypus will do
No crocodiles or hippopotamuseses
I only like duck-billed platypuseses
And duck-billed platypuses like me too!
This post is dedicated to @unguidedmissile and @geeklygibby - Merry Christmas!
